About me

***PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ON NEW STUDENTS***

My name is Emma, and I teach recorder, violin and music theory lessons from my house in Redhill.
I have been playing the recorder and violin for 20 years and teaching for almost 10 years. I tailor my lessons to each individual student, aiming to maximise their progress and make learning fun and rewarding. I have experience entering students for exams, in which many achieve merits and distinctions, but I am also happy to adopt a more relaxed approach if you're looking to learn for fun!
I have a first-class degree in music from the University of Oxford, a DipABRSM Performance Diploma on the recorder (with distinction), and ABRSM Grade 8 violin (with distinction). I also hold a current enhanced DBS check.
